Clip 7: Dissonance

Nyree:

Sometimes you come away feeling … maybe a little bit ā€œhollowā€, I would say the word is, say. But when you create dissonance, people can’t be grateful, or perhaps they can’t even be nice at the time, because they need to go away and process what it means for them, and so it’s not always a smooth road. But you need to keep going back to see what changes there are in place. I mean people come to you and they say, ā€œYou know, I’ve thought really hard about what you said. And as a result, this happenedā€, or ā€œI’ve done thisā€. Then you know that that discomfort or that dissonance was worth it.
