Clip 8: Enabling

I moved from the power position of having all the say, and I moved to one where I wanted to be able to collect evidence in such a way that they could see their own way forward without me directing so much – or at all. And our group talked about the word “enabling” – literally enabling other people to help their way forward.

And the interesting thing is … I’ve stopped modelling teaching. Because if I want people to have self efficacy – that they can do, and make, these changes – for my mind, modelling, for me, sets a precedent.
