Clip 8: Melanie's learning
Melanie:
Well, the learning is ongoing. You know, this is, this is really just the beginning, it’s all very new for all of us. And I suppose I need to, over time, have a lot more evidence about the impact actually of my conversations with the teachers, and then with the students. I'd really like to follow that through.
Again, I'll go back to the collective learning that I've been involved in. And I've been in situations at team meetings, and with small groups of facilitators, where we might take transcripts along of our conversations with teachers and we’ll analyse them and critique them, and see what we said that had an impact, and what didn't have an impact, and what might have helped, and all of those kinds of things. So it’s really having to learn to be self-monitoring for myself, actually – and noticing those things when I'm talking to teachers, too, and looking for the impact in the same way that I'm asking teachers to do that with their kids.
