Clip 2: Gillian: my approach

Gillian:

I was acting in the role of a critical friend, so I was trying to support her but at the same time challenge her thinking – to perhaps sort of identify some of the conflict between her beliefs and her actual practice.

I was wanting to model a process of collaborative problem solving, where I basically facilitated Barbara to find answers and solutions to her own problems, rather than me giving her the answers.

And I think I was also modelling a process of listening and questioning that she could hopefully use in her conversation with Fran.
